Spring is the best time of year! I love warm weather and all the beautiful flowers and leaves everywhere! Plus, the season after spring is summer, and if we're lucky, we'll have a nice summer this year. That means at least 4 months of no snow!!!! What can be better than that?? Here are a few shots from around my home this spring. Enjoy the weather!

TRILLIUM SPECIAL
I am so blessed to live on land that happens to be alive with trilliums! I love those two weeks in May when they are in full bloom in the woods all around my home. It seems a double blessing when you consider that I did not do a single thing to plant/weed/water, etc., these beautiful flowers! However, I sure do love to take advantage of these for portrait sessions!! For the next two weeks, I am offering a "mini session" of sorts for $35. This includes approximately 10 different shots/poses of your family/children in around the flowers, post processing of the images, and the copyrighted DVD of the images so that you can use them on Facebook, have them printed, or just as a keepsake. I also offer printing (see prices here).
Call now to make you appointment as these blooms only remain for about 2 weeks!

Spring is finally here!
These two are just adorable! I love taking pictures of children - even when they don't always cooperate and give the best smiles. Claire looks like such a princess here:
Here is another of my favorites of Claire:
Here are a couple of Rylee - we bribed him with a gum ball and I think he delivered pretty well!

Long Winter Days
What to do on long winter days when the storm has you trapped inside? Well, I edit photos. I went back through my photo archives to a few years ago when my family and I visited Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons. I think this is one of the most beautiful places on earth! I did not own a great camera back then - just a point and shoot, but it took some nice images all in all. Here are some of my edited images:
I plan to get several printed in the 3.5x5 inch size and use them to create all occasion cards. I still enjoy card making the "old fashioned" way, but like to add my photography instead of all the traditional rubber stamp scenes and ribbons.

Mason
Photographing my little nephew, Mason, was such a breeze! He is 9 months old and can crawl, but for the most part was very content to just sit and let us entertain him while I snapped a bunch of images! He is just one of those babies that you just HAVE to pick up and hold and squeeze. Ahhh, those cheeks!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope this year brings you many blessings, and much love and happiness. Hopefully this will be a great year for all of us.
I am starting 2011 off by wishing my baby a Happy Birthday! Noah turns 3 on January 2. How is it that time seems to crawl by sometimes, then all of a sudden, you realize how fast the years have gone?!?
Noah was not really thrilled about me taking his picture. I had to bribe him with gum and that did not really work, so I used a left over candy cane. I got a couple of smiles and one that will work for on my wall! I wanted outdoor portraits of him playing in the snow, but he was not cooperative at all with that idea. I guess I just gotta take what I can get with that child and pick a different battle.

Winter Wonderland
Wow-did we ever get some snow this weekend! As much as I hate snow, it can be very beautiful. I waded through knee-deep drifts to capture some of these images. I made them "vintage" - thought it added to the look.
