HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year everyone!   I hope this year brings you many blessings, and much love and happiness.  Hopefully this will be a great year for all of us.

I am starting 2011 off by wishing my baby a Happy Birthday!  Noah turns 3 on January 2.  How is it that time seems to crawl by sometimes, then all of a sudden, you realize how fast the years have gone?!?

Noah was not really thrilled about me taking his picture.  I had to bribe him with gum and that did not really work, so I used a left over candy cane.  I got a couple of smiles and one that will work for on my wall!  I wanted outdoor portraits of him playing in the snow, but he was not cooperative at all with that idea.  I guess I just gotta take what I can get with that child and pick a different battle.

Winter Wonderland

Wow-did we ever get some snow this weekend!  As much as I hate snow, it can be very beautiful.  I waded through knee-deep drifts to capture some of these images.   I made them "vintage" - thought it added to the look.

FALL FAMILY PORTRAITS

I had the opportunity to photograph this family this week.  Such adorable children.  The older daughter, Big B, was all about the "princess smile", and the little daughter, Little B, was a typical one year old!  She did really well for the first few shots, then she was DONE with it!  Brother B was a good sport and posed really well!

Here are a couple of shots from our session.
This is the pose they chose for their Christmas card:

I love the lighting in this one:

HAPPY FALL

Even though the leaves are gone, fall is still beautiful!
To me, fall means fewer mosquitoes, cool, crisp days and of course, my husband's pumpkin patch full of beautiful pumpkins for all of us to harvest and sell.  It's just too bad winter follows such a beautiful time of year.

Homecoming Photos

I had a few show up for some Homecoming shots tonight.  I did not get as many shots as I had hoped - the girls were freezing, and the boys were well, you know how boys are when it comes to posing!  Also, I was losing my natural light very quickly!  However, I did get a few shots that I really liked.
Thanks to all who showed up!

HOMECOMING

Spencer Homecoming!  What an exciting time!  Personally,  I know I wake every morning expecting to see my lawn covered in toilet paper - so far so good :-).

In honor of homecoming, I am offering photo sessions before the dance on Saturday here at my home.  Now, this is for couples AND for those of you who are going in groups with friends.

Here's the plan:  you contact me and let me know what time would work for you and your date/group.  You show up, I take a few shots - serious, fun, goofy, whatever. . . ., I will edit the shots and post them on my Shutterbug Facebook page.  If you like the shots and would like to order prints, you can contact me and I'll place the order.  Your only cost will be the price of the prints!

Print prices are:
4x6. . . . . . .$3.00
5x7 . . . . . .  $6.00
8x10 . . . . . . $10.00

Seriously Cute

These little ones are so cute!  I just love photographing children - you just never know how they will react or if they will even cooperate, but no matter if  they don't, kids are just cute and it is fun trying to capture their spirit!

Finally getting Jesse's senior pictures done.  The leaves are absolutely beautiful right now.

I just love doing the hunting ones.  I think they are definitely my favorite!

Emma and Weston

I had the opportunity to photograph Emma and Weston yesterday.  Emma was a real doll - very cooperative and loving to pose!  Weston, on the other hand was well, not exactly happy with me and my camera.  I did get some cute candid shots as I followed him around.  I definitely got a work out!  Kids in the leaves with pumpkins are just too cute!
