Okay, I am probably the worst blogger EVER! I keep up so well with Facebook and with my website, yet I tend to let this blog fall behind. Task of the week is to bring me up to speed on all the sessions I've had recently. February and March were slow months for me because I had surgery and was not able to work. Rosalind was my first session after I was able to work again. I've had the privilege of photographing this sweet little girl for the past year. I love seeing the newborns turn into these full of life one year olds!! It does not seem possible this was a year ago!
But here she is at one........Rosalind!

JUST PLAIN CUTE!
Arianna did great for her session even though she was a little shy at first. Her mom scheduled this session since Arianna turned 3 last week. After we sang the ABC's and some other kids' songs, she started to warm up and give me her natural smile! I think these turned out so cute - what a beautiful little girl!! Oh-check out my newest prop - the turquoise chair. I got it from a Marshfield lady, Barbara Erickson. She refinishes old/vintage pieces and does a fantastic job! I will be getting a high chair from her this spring for my baby sessions!

FAMILY SESSIONS-The "B" Family
I love it when families return to me year after year for their family portraits. It is so great to see how the children grow and develop each year. When Nicole brought her family to me 3 years ago, I was just beginning my business and I did not have a studio. Her youngest daughter was about 1 1/2, and refused to look at the camera! The next year, it was about the same. This year, however, Bryleigh loved the camera! She was so much to photograph. Her older sister, Brezylyn, has always been very cooperative in front of the camera, and Braedon always has too. They are such cute kids and such a great family to work with!!

JUST "TWO" CUTE
Hannah and Hailey - double the cuteness - double the adventure!! Twins present a challenge like no other (except for maybe triplets). This was such a fun session and I really got my workout!!! Their big brother, Mason, was a big help! Most of the images below are PSE composites because trying to get one year olds to look at the camera at the same time - or even be in the camera frame at the same time is a real challenge! But I think the results are so worth it!

CUTIE PIES- Kennedy and Brody
Ellen, grandma of Kennedy and Brody, scheduled a session for her grandchildren when they came to visit her. She was hoping to get some nice shots for her Christmas cards. Kennedy and Brody are cousins, but are very close in age, so I knew I was going to be working with some cute little one year olds and possibly 2 older step sisters of Brody. One year olds are always a challenge because they are usually mobile and love to be on-the-go! Plus, for some reason, even at this young age, they seem to know everyone wants them to look and smile at the camera. Usually, they try to avoid doing what everyone wants :-). I love the challenge because every precious shot is worth all the effort!
I love these images of Kennedy and her beautiful momma:

FAMILY SESSIONS- The G kids
I have to say that I am usually pretty good with kids. I have 4 silly boys of my own, and I love being silly myself. I love getting kids to smile and laugh. I often sing, jump, make animal noises and weird faces to get kids to laugh. Usually these techniques work really well. Usually. . . . . Sometimes things don't go as well as I had hoped. . . be it tired kids, kids that just don't want their picture taken, or even. . . gasp - kids that don't think I'm funny!!! Can you imagine? :-) Well, these 4 cuties made me work really hard to get the smiles I got here! It was worth all the hard work!

LITTLE PUMPKINS
I just love the little pumpkin sessions. When I do the children's sessions, there are always "timeless" images done also. By timeless, I mean images that do not have a holiday or seasonal theme. I enjoy putting up images of my children taken around a certain holiday or season, but when the next season comes along, they seem "outdated", so I put up a more general image of them on my wall. However, I think these little pumpkin sessions are absolutely adorable!
